INTENDED AUDIENCE: Balkan and diaspora communities, families, and young adults interested in shared stories
-
The goal was to create something that helps people open up and talk about identity, memory, and shared history. The challenge was designing a format that felt respectful and accessible while still encouraging honest conversation. Success meant people feeling comfortable enough to share and listen.

I drew from my own background and experiences within diaspora communities. I researched storytelling, intergenerational dialogue, and cultural memory, then translated that into prompts, structure, and visual design. One thing that stood out was how differently people interpret the same histories, and how powerful it can be to hear those perspectives side by side.

The project became a meaningful way for people to connect across generations and experiences. Even when conversations were emotional, they felt intentional and grounding. The process showed me how design can hold space, not just deliver information.
